ASPIRING EDUCATOR GRANT
GUIDELINES AND APPLICATION SCHOLARSHIPS TOWARD YOUR STUDIES! **The purpose of the Aspiring Educator Grant is to encourage prospective women educators in Texas.
**The goal of the Aspiring Educator Grant is to provide funds toward the completion of a degree and Texas teacher certification for women in Texas. It may also provide funds for Alternative Teacher Certification for women who already have a degree and desire to become a teacher. **The amount available per applicant will be $500 for a 3-hour award and no more than $1,000 for a 6-hour award toward a degree and Texas teaching certificate. The amount available for alternative teacher certification will be a one-time award not to exceed $500. **To pursue the application process, visit the Forms tab on the ASTEF website at www.astef.org Review the Aspiring Educator Grant Guidelines and Application for more information. We are looking for a woman who is an Outstanding Advocate for Education in or around Area 16 whom we can honor and celebrate at the 95th Texas State Organization Convention in Denton.

Just by contemplating it, you are on your way to making a difference for Texas educators and students! Projects must further ASTEF’s mission: Provide services and activities that support professional and personal growth of women educators in Texas and promote educational excellence for Texas students.
Identify a specific need or problem, or an innovative idea in your community/school and propose a solution to the need or problem. To pursue the application process, visit the Forms tab on the ASTEF website at www.astef.org. The mission of Alpha State Texas Educational Foundation is
ASTEF members may apply for a Texas State Organization (TSO) state scholarship; participate in leadership events; and apply for project stipends.
