The principles upon which ASTEF was founded are based on charitable giving and meaningful use of monies received. Throughout ASTEF’s short existence many lives have been positively effected through scholarships, leadership seminars, classroom project stipends, and Aspiring Educators grants  which were made possible due to “gifts” received from our members and others.

 ASTEF bestows gifts each year to Texas State Organization members and chapters. Those who receive scholarships or leadership training will use their learning to influence a diverse set of individuals and a cross-section of groups during their careers and beyond. Women aspiring to become educators benefit, too, with stipends given under the Aspiring Educator program.  Chapters, individuals, area, or coordinating councils that receive project stipends have the potential to touch the hearts and make significant differences in the lives of many in their communities.

A gift to ASTEF is one sure way to leave footprints on the hearts of others through the heritage of ASTEF's charitable programs. Not only will you receive personal satisfaction from your donation, but your donation is tax deductible.

Is there someone you would like to honor with your donation? Why not consider a donation “in honor of” an associate, friend, or relative to tell them how much they mean to you? Donations can also be made “in memory of” a special friend, relative, colleague, etc. A gift to ASTEF is a gift that keeps on giving as it is used to support scholarships, leadership seminars and special events, and classroom or chapter projects that impact Texas educators and students.

Donating to our foundation is easy and only takes a few minutes. Quick ways to donate to ASTEF are:
  • Donate button:  Use this button to contribute to any of the ASTEF funds -  Projects/Aspiring Educators, Leadership, or Scholarship using your credit card or PayPal account. ​ Use the drop down menu after clicking on the Donate button to select the fund of your choice. These donations can be a one-time gift or a recurring donation. Donors can choose to cover the credit card fee. Example: A $10.00 donation has a $0.70 fee. By choosing the “add the fee” option, the donor has sent a $10.70 donation and ASTEF will receive the full $10.00 donation.
  • Use the Contribution Forms found below or on the Forms Page to contribute by check  to the fund of your choice (Scholarship, Leadership or Projects)
  • Contribution Forms also give you the opportunity to designate the contribution as a memorial, honorarium or chapter contribution for convention recognition. ​


​As a 501(c)(3) public charity, ASTEF provides funding for activities that support professional and personal growth of women educators in Texas and promotes educational excellence for Texas students.
Donations made in honor or in memory of someone must be made with the Contribution Form and mailed. All contributions are tax deductible.
All members of the Texas State Organization of Delta Kappa Gamma International are members of the Alpha State Texas Educational Foundation. Members are provided many opportunities to help support the activities of TSO and ASTEF.
