Gamma beta project 2023-24

Samaritan Inn Project - Area 9 - Blessings and Lessons with Learning and Fun

This was our second project this year with the Samaritan Inn. Gamma Beta chapter is helping to fight homelessness in Collin County through support of the children and families at the Samaritan Inn. At an event on Nov. 4th the children painted “Blessing Boxes,” played games, and listened to a book reading all designed to promote an attitude of gratitude which has been shown to modify the negative impacts of stress. In addition the children picked an age appropriate Lego set along with a stuffed animal and action figure to encourage mental development and fun. Children’s throws which were made by the chapter members were given away as door prizes at the event.
