​In 2002, Kendra Scott started her company with just $500 in her pocket.  Since that time, the company has grown to over a billion-dollar industry with over 100 stores nationwide.

She does more than just design jewelry though, she creates an atmosphere of joy, optimism and beauty.  Her mission statement reflects her beliefs.  Kendra says, "We believe in a world in which all women and children live their brightest, healthiest and most empowered lives." 

On a national level, Kendra supports organizations that actively improves lives, advances knowledge and unlocks opportunity in three key areas: Health and wellness, Education and entrepreneurship, and Empowerment.  Her company and brand support many philanthropic efforts by funding grants, volunteering time and hosting or sponsoring events.

Yes, we know and love Kendra jewelry, but she does so much more than design jewelry...she believes "giving back is the highest form of success."  Since 2010, the company has given back over $30 million dollars to local, national and international causes.   She has given over $9 million dollars in in-kind donations, volunteered over 2,000 hours and partnered with more than 10,000 philanthropic organizations in the last year alone.

On Kendra's website, she has this quote which is a true reflection of Kendra's passion and giving spirit.  “We make a choice to see the good in every day – in the mirror, in each other, and in our communities. When we see the good that’s possible, together, we can create it.”

Through her foundation or other foundations that she has supported for the year 2020 during Covid, here is just a glimpse into her many acts of generosity and kindness:

• Provided 4.2 million meals to families in need through Feeding America
  
• Hosted 50+ virtual events
• Funded 5,000 research hours for breast cancer
• Launched the Anti-Racist Children's Book Education Fund with their donation to The Conscious Kid
• Donated over $475,000 to 40 hospitals across the country
• Donated 3000+ books to children and educators in communities in need through First Book
• Donated 28,800+ pieces of jewelry to organizations and      individuals in need

As for ASTEF, we have been the beneficiary of Kendra's generosity since 2017 through the Kendra Give Back program that allows community members to host in-store events with 20% of the proceeds going directly back to ASTEF.  Thanks to Kendra and the Give Back Program, ASTEF has earned over $2,500.
