ASTEF Weekender to Bryan/college Station/Brenham, April 2019
Exciting plans are being made for ASTEF’s third annual Weekender trip to be held April 5-7 in Bryan, College Station, and Brenham.
Travelers will gather Friday night at 6:00 p.m. for a welcome dinner and fajita buffer. Travelers may also take part in Bryan’s lively First Friday with street vendors, shops open late, or even take in an old fashion movie at the restored downtown theatre. Saturday after a hearty hot breakfast, travelers will tour the George H. W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum.
Other stops on Saturday will include the Antique Rose Garden, Master Gardener Earth-kind gardens, gazebo, and arboretum, lunch at a popular local restaurant followed by tour and tasting at the Messina Hoff Winery. Saturday evening, travelers can explore on their own or gather with friends. Sunday morning travelers will tour many unknown spots on the Texas A & M campus with an insider expert. The trip concludes Sunday with lunch from Jason’s Deli.
The trip includes: 2-night hotel accommodations (based on double occupancy) at Courtyard by Marriott in College Station, 2 hot breakfasts, 1 lunch at a local favorite restaurant, 1 lunch provided by Jason’s Deli, 1 fajita dinner buffet, all entrance fees, a souvenir wine glass from Messina Hoff, and transportation to all sites. The hotel also has a shuttle for use to and from local establishments.
The total cost of the trip is $275. If interested, please email Dr. Barbara Derrick at firstname.lastname@example.org and then mail a check made payable to ASTEF for $50 to hold your spot along with the registration form. Address is on the form.
How would you like to win the trip for one? To help pay for things like water for the buses, some gratuity, snacks and etc. we are selling tickets for $10 each. Drawing will be September 23. Please send a check for the number of tickets you wish to purchase. When you win, we will gladly refund your deposit.
