September 12, 2020 - ticketed events
As the Foundation began to grow so did the need for funds to provide Project stipends, continue to award Scholarships, grant Aspiring Educators, and fund Leadership events, especially the Leadership Seminar. In 2017, the Board took a bold step in their fundraising efforts by hosting a ticketed event for the first time.
The first ticketed event, Diva Doins’, was held in Houston that summer. A professional stylist spoke as well as a closet organizer. Directors dressed as their favorite Diva and lead the audience of over 300 in many fun events.
Feedback from the event told the Board that our members enjoyed the ticketed event and found it to be an easy way to support ASTEF financially.
The second ticketed event featured HGTV Fixer Upper famed sign maker Jimmy Don Holmes. The third event featured Blackhawk female pilot and motivational speaker Elizabeth McCormick. With the cancellation of McAllen, the scheduled McAllen speaker has agreed to join us in Denton and the event will feature former Olympian, Johnny Quinn.
When planning for Denton in June of 2021, be sure to check the box for the ticketed event, a tax-deductible donation, to support ASTEF in this unique way!
