September 14, 2020 - astef pins
Delta Kappa Gamma members love their pins! It is always fun to admire other members' pins and to see their treasured pins that remind them of the purpose of the Society. Knowing this to be true, ASTEF Founding Directors established the Founding Donor pin campaign. Members who gave $50 or more were awarded a once-in-a-life-time pin featuring the ASTEF logo. Their contributions were used as the Board prepared to award the first-ever project stipends.
In 2020, the second special ASTEF pin was awarded to those members who have given $500 or more from 2010 to August 31, 2020. This cumulative donor pin utilizes, for the first time, the ASTEF Seal created by our Founding Directors. Members may still qualify for this special pin by reaching the $500 donation level. Headquarters can help you in determining the amount needed.
Due to convention cancellation, virtual Area Workshop members were mailed their pin. Be on the lookout for these pins the next time you are able to be face-to-face with your fellow members. A special recognition of these donors will be highlighted at Convention in June 2021.
We hope the pins serve as a reminder of “A Decade of Making Dreams Come True” for members, non-members, Texas children, students, and educators.
